Research
RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF PEACE AND SECURITY IS OFTEN A PRODUCT OF PATRIARCHAL AND AGEIST INSTITUTIONS SITUATED IN THE GLOBAL NORTH. THE OGIP PLATFORM IS A PLACE FOR CRITICALLY ENGAGED RESEARCH FROM YOUNG PEOPLE AIMED AT DISRUPTING 'TRADITIONAL' METHODS AND VOICES OF 'RESEARCH’, CREATING A SPACE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE TO DIVERSIFY A SPACE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE TO DIVERSIFY AND PROGRESS THE FIELD OF PEACE AND SECURITY THROUGH ARTWORK, POETRY, INTERVIEWS, PODCASTS, WRITING PHOTOGRAPHY OR STORYTELLING.
The OGIP Research Series will focus on a thought provoking theme or area of peace and security that requires diverse analysis and policy response, They will allow young people to deeply engage with issues in diverse ways. The themes will be sourced from and selected by young people to ensure the research series remain relevant and responsive.
OGIP's blog is a space for contributions from young people to engage with and respond to topics and issues that matter to them in creative and diverse ways. OGIP's blog is not looking to be a traditional written blog but we want to showcase a variety of engaging creative content, from storytelling, to photography; podcasts to poetry; and anything in between.
If you are interested in contributing to OGIP's blog or research series then please check out our call for proposals or fill out the research submission form here. We are looking for writing, photography, poetry, story telling, art work, videos or podcasts on a range of interesting and relevant issues that young people want to talk about in order to drive forward and diversify the conversation.
Topics for OGIP's research series are suggested to us by young people that are engaged and committed to realising OGIP's mission.
