OGIP is a intersectional feminist organisation aiming to increase the voices of diverse young people on peace, security and conflict. The OGIP blog is a space for diverse content on diverse topics.
We are currently seeking contributions for the Blog on any issues related to peace, security and conflict. We want to hear from you about the issues and themes you are passionate about expressed in the way that feels natural to you. This could be anything from an interview with young peacebuilders, to a piece of artwork on peace processes to a critical analysis of gaps in international frameworks.
OGIP aim’s to publish contributors with geographical, methodological, theoretical and stylistic diversity and as a youth collective we will be prioritising the voices of youth. The OGIP blog is a space for contributions of various mediums including but not limited to poetry, academic research, artwork, policy analysis, podcasts, photography and vlogs.
The working language of OGIP is English (British and American) as this is one of the most widely spoken languages across different regions of the world. However, we strongly encourage contributors to also produce their research in other languages. Submission and drafting will be in English and the contributor will then be asked to translate into an additional language if they are able and wish to do so.
The process of contributing research
The first step is to submit a summary and additional information on this online form, so OGIP can get an idea of the type of work you would like to produce.
You will then hear from a member of the OGIP team on the outcome of your submission. Following this you will work with the OGIP editorial team to set a timeline for the submission of your contribution. OGIP will always be flexible to find a timeline for submission and editing that suits you. Once you have submitted the first draft of your work you will then receive comments from the team within 1-2 weeks and will have an additional 2-3 weeks (approx) to address them and resubmit your next draft. There will be time for final edits and a deadline will be set for the submission of your finalised work. Once finalised your work will be published on the OGIP blog and promoted through OGIPs social media platforms.
If you have any questions about the process please do get in touch with the team on OGIPResearch@gmail.com
