MORE ABOUT THE

Pillars in Action

OGIP is a platform for multidisciplinary research through a variety of mediums, such as articles, blog pieces, podcasts, and various forms of art, including photography, poetry and  painting, with the aim of diversifying the peace and security field and amplifying younger voices. OGIP's research contributors represent diverse experiences, voices, and languages that bridge different spheres of the WPS/YPS conversation. OGIP will work toward decolonising the WPS/YPS agenda and to highlight the necessity for an intersectional approach to research, policy, and programming.

Research

1

OGIP challenges the assumptions currently shaping the elite peace and security arena through platforming diverse and alternative perspectives on today’s challenges to peace. OGIP promotes the innovative youth-led analysis of peace and security issues, builds a network for mutual learning and support amongst youth peace advocates, and produces policy recommendations drawing on the work of our contributors; all while challenging the current exclusionary structures to advocate for a more inclusive peace.

Advocacy

2

OGIP is an accessible and global organisation, created by and for a diverse audience of activists, practitioners, and advocates from around the world working to build a more inclusive and peaceful future. We also aim to be part of a network of organisations engaged in this work, partnering with others to improve the strength of the movement for advancing inclusive and sustainable peace and security.
